Outdoor Speakers Rock Pair OSD Audio RS680

OSD Audio Customers are always happy to discover that experiencing great outdoor sound is a lot easier and less expensive than they think and love plugging in their iPods and listening to music while gardening or relaxing outside. The RS680 is great for medium size spaces and shares many of the same features as the RS690 but has a different style and shape enclosure. Behind the aerospace-grade, all-weather enclosure is a 6.5" polypropylene woofer with sealed voice coil and silicone encased leads as well as a 1" polyamide dome tweeter. If you're worried about weather, rest assured that these all-weather rock speakers are safe in the rain, snow, wind and will even withstand the occasional "visit" from Fido! The speaker remains completely hidden behind a fully painted aluminum grille that matches the rock speaker surface and texture. The speaker is nearly impossible to see and will not rust or oxidize over time.

Key Features
· All-weather components withstand rain, temperatures and other harsh weather conditions
· Acoustically inert enclosure made from Aerospace grade multi-layer composite cabinetry
· Designed specifically for outdoor environments with excellent sound quality
· Available Canyon Brown or Granite Grey finishes

Do You Have Everything You Need for Outdoor Sound?
You've chosen your rock speakers and can’t wait to get them outside but do you have everything to get started? Remember, you'll need power to drive these rocks from either an amplifier or receiver. You'll also need speaker wire to connect everything, particularly CL3 Rated, Direct Burial cable (see our Audio/Video Cable section).

Choosing the Right Location
You have your rock speakers, power to drive them and CL3 rated cable. Now it's time to choose a great spot. A good rule of thumb is that the rock speakers should face the general listening area, about 12 feet from the center and 10 to 12 feet apart. This set up will give you the best stereo imaging. Also, avoid placing the speakers in low spots that would make these speakers vulnerable to water accumulation.

Can I Play Music from My iPod or Laptop?
OSD Rock speaker function just like regular speakers and once they're hooked up to your source (amplifier/receiver) you can connect your portable player with a simple cable like our Mini Stereo 3.5mm to 2 RCA Adapter (see the Audio/Video Cable section).

To improve longevity of the surface quality on our outdoor speakers, place the rocks in a shaded area to prevent color fade from too much direct sunlight. It is recommended to keep our outdoor speakers out of contact with any chemicals that may be present in your yard. We encourage you to bring the speakers indoors or cover them up during the off seasons to ensure a longer life for the speaker
